Traditional embroidery is one of the pivotal intangible cultural heritage items in China,with a profound cultural implication and a uniquely artistic charm,popular with the public. Its incessant development and updates in successive dynasties'change have posed a profound impact on modern costume designing. Modern textile indus-try driven by socioeconomic factors has gained momentum in recent years. New technologies and materials have step-wise found favor with the clothing industry,while traditional handicrafts have gradually been out in the cold. In the context of the concepts and minimalism highlighting modern clothing designing,traditional embroidery,which is combined with modern attire designing elements,concepts and styles,not only enables inheritance and innovation of its own,but also bestows a nimble appeal upon modern apparel,of which cultural and artistic values are enhanced.
