Xu Qiu's Ciyuan-Congtan and Jiang Shunyi's Cixue-Jicheng are one of the few Qing Dynasty's compiled works focusing on the styling and cataloging of Ci poetry.The two works spanned the entirety of the Qing.Variations in Ci concepts represented critical trends of Ci in the Qing.However,excavation of such concepts has merited little concern in the current academia.A comparative interpretation of the stylistic awareness,historical awareness of Ci and aesthetic awareness,in my humble view,is to enable an insight into the trends of Ci studies in works compila-tion of Ci theories in the Qing Dynasty and enrich the critical research of Ci studies.
