Since the 1980s,the Gyalrongic studies have accumulated plentiful research results including early investi-gations and analyses of phonology,discussions of genealogy,and later research on grammar and tonality.This paper has summarized the main Gyalrongic research results of since the 1980 s,and put forward new prospects for such re-search.
