Analysis on Causes Leading to Lamination Defects in SPA-H Steel and Corresponding Improvement Measures
With regard to the lamination defects occurred in machining SPA-H hot rolled plates, such analysis approaches as macroscopic observation, metallographic analysis and micro-scopic structure analysis were used for analyzing these defects and analytical results showed that the Al2O3 inclusions in the plates and segregation occurred in the plates were the main causes leading to lamination defects. After these measures such as reducing the content of oxygen at the end point of combined blowing by converter, optimizing the modified process for improving the quality of the top slag in a ladle, using protection casting process in the whole course, determining the drawing speed to be(1.55±0.05)m/min and degree of superheat to be(25±5)℃were taken, the repair rate of inclusion defects was zero and no obvious segregation in the plates was found.
