Development Progress of Single Winding Helical Electromagnetic Stirring Technology in Ansteel
The independent research and development progress of the single winding helical electromagnetic stirring technology in Angang was introduced.Through the coupling simulation calculation over multi-physical fields such as round ingots,flat ingots,heavy blooms and heavy round billets,the effect of the technology was verified combined with the experimental studies.The verified results showed that the single winding helical electromagnetic stirring technology could be conductive to promote mass transfering and heat transfering of metal liquid in three-dimensional direction,reduce the temperature gradient of the liquid core,promote the solidification of metal liquid at the same time,and therefore the center porosity and segregation occurred in casting blanks reduced and the statistical segregation degree of C element in casting blanks and ingots could be reduced by more than 30%.
