With regard to the problem that the defect occurred at the corner of high quality IF steel slabs caused by molten slag after flame cleaning,the causes leading to the defect were ana-lyzed.And then such measures as increasing water pressure of high-pressure water,adjusting the sliding distance of the main body to the scarfing machine and optimizing the ratio of oxygen and low-pressure propane gas in the scarfing machine were taken.After that,the white strip defect was effectively shot and the surface quality of the slabs were improved.
