Development History of Automobile Steels and Advanced High Strength Steels with Novel Low-entropy Design
The development history of automobile steels and those historical events that promoted the development of automobile steels were introduced.And then the development direction of automobile steels in the future under the background of Double-carbon Policy was prospected.At the same time,the development and classification of advanced high strength steels for automobile-making were introduced,while the development history of automotive steels from mild steels,low carbon steels,high strength steels to advanced high strength steels was expounded.Particularly,the design ideas in terms of such factors as cost,alloy,configuration and properties of advanced high strength steels during upgrading by iteration from the first generation to the third generation were elaborated.Finally,the innovative design concept with novel low-entropy was proposed,and the design ideas in terms of these products with low-entropy covering four kinds of Dual Phase steel products,including ideas on their compositions and processes were introduced.Therefore,the Heterogeneous Configuration design with low-entropy was proposed,guided by the practical application requirements asked by users.On the other hand,the characteristics and properties of these products were deeply analyzed,combined with the physical metallurgy mechanism of steel materials and the equipment and process characteristics during manufacturing stage,and thus these products were reduced in weight,simplified and normalized in process with gradient low-entropy design from the very beginning of designing so that the idea of low-cost and high properties of the products in manufacturing was achieved.
