Defect Control Technology for Steel Ingots with High Yield and Its Research Progress
Various defects will inevitably occur during the solidification process of steel ingots,which seriously restrict the yield of ingots and directly affect the subsequent processing technology and the quality of the final products.It is of great significance to restrain the formation of these defects,carry out activities on exploration and innovation and effectively improve the casting process for increasing the yield of steel ingots.By discussing and analyzing the research status and latest progress on improving the yield of steel ingots,including designing of ingot shapes,optimization of process parameters,advanced casting technology and so on,the future research and development direction of mold casting and solidification technology,such as multi-phase flow controlling,microstructure controlling and accurate management of cooling rates,is prospected,which provide reasonable suggestions for the stable production of steel ingots with high yield.
