Practice of Reducing Inclusion Defects on Surface of Cold Rolled Low Carbon Steel Products
With regard to the problem that the defects of inclusions occurred on the surface of low carbon cold rolled steel products, the causes leading to the defects were analyzed and it was concluded that the main cause was caused by some mould fluxes which were introduced into molten steel. After taking such measures as optimizing the physical and chemical properties of mould fluxes, optimizing the casting speed of a casting machine, adjusting the immersion depth of a nozzle and regulating the argon-blowing flow, the risk of mould fluxes being introduced was reduced. And therefore, the index for inclusion defects was decreased from 4 to 1,and the surface quality of low carbon cold rolled steel products was improved.
