Influencing Factors and Finite Element Analysis of Sliding Neutral Surface in Hot Rolling
By using finite element analysis method, the rolling model of finishing mill was established.Taking ordinary carbon structural steel as the research object, the change of sliding neutral surface in hot rolling was simulated. The influence of friction, reduction rate, roll diameter and tension on neutral surface was analyzed, and the influence of three tension states in tension-free rolling and hot continuous rolling on neutral surface was emphatically analyzed.According to the simulation calculation, the neutral surface was not a straight line because of the inconsistent deformation speed between the surface and the center of the strip. The changes in the deformation zone could be obtained from different simulation conditions.Combined with the finite element simulation results,it was concluded that the rolling friction and reduction rate had obvious effects on the neutral surface shift without tension, while the roll diameter had little effect on the position of neutral surface. In addition, the deviation direction of rolling neutral surface was different under different tension setting conditions.
