Construction of Model for Pickling Process Based on Content of Silicon and Coiling Temperatures
By analyzing the microstructures and phase compositions in terms of the oxide scales on the surface of the experimental steels,and combining the analysis on weight loss and acid behavior,the main factors affecting the acid washing efficiency of the steel strips were identified.The verified results indicated that steel strips with relatively higher content of silicon exhibited silicon-enriched layers near their substrates,and therefore the thickness of iron oxide scales,phase compositions and silicon enrichment near the substrates were the main factors affecting the pickling efficiency.After that,the mathematical model for pickling classification with content of silicon and coiling temperatures as variables was established and provided with its corresponding database on pickling process.After the model was put into application,sophisticated pickling for products with different pickling difficulties were achieved,indicating a good pickling effect.So this model promoted the pickling technology to the transition of directions towards the industrial intelligentizing and digital twinning.
