Analysis of the Cause of a 6 kV Bus Trip Accident
This paper introduces an accident of 6 kV bus trip caused by complex reasons during the starting process of an electric motor.By analyzing the timing of actions of each switch and protection device during the bus trip,combined with experimental analysis of relevant equipment,the causes of this bus trip acci-dent are identified,including motor short circuit,anti-tripping circuit fault,and protection setting error.Finally,corresponding preventive and corrective measures are put forward for the problems exposed in this accident.
