Selection of V-Type Suspension Insulator Strings for UHV DC Transmission Line Tangent Towers
In ultra-high voltage(UHV)direct current transmission line projects,conductor V-type suspen-sion insulator strings are typically used on tangent towers.Due to the diverse forms and complex forces on these strings,there is often a situation of extensive design during selection,which results in resource waste.Using the principle of force balance,this paper analyzes the mathematical model of V-type suspension in-sulator string on tangent towers,obtains the computing method and provides the flow chart for writing the program.The program is used to a±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission line project,ver-ifying the correctness and feasibility of this method.
