Analysis of Energy-Saving Transformation of Roots Water Vacuum Pump in Thermal Power Plant
In response to the issues of high operating current,long duration and high power consumption of water ring vacuum pumps in thermal power plants,transformation was made to the vacuum system of the u-nit by adding a new set of air-cooled Roots water ring vacuum pump in parallel with the existing water ring vacuum pump as a standby,which enhances the safety of the unit and reduces the power consumption of the plant.After the transformation,the vacuum of the unit has been significantly improved and the econom-ic performance of the steam turbine increased,achieving energy-saving effect.
