A simple and feasible method for preserving and making stuffing specimens of small mammals
Since it is difficult to make a large collect of specimens of small mammals in field on the spot, and keep their tissues for follow - up DNA analysis at the same time, it is simple and feasible to hold the collected mammals temporarily in alcohol for making stuffing specimens in laboratory. The procedure is; after weighting and measuring the trapped mammals, opening their abdomens and removing the viscera, putting a label with serial number into their deep months, then dipping them into a plastic kettle with alcohol for dehydration, when coming back to lab, some tissues were kept in alcohol for DNA analysis, then making stuffing specimens.
