Development and application of precise humidity control system for ion mobility spectrometer
The ion mobility spectrometer is an analytical instrument that utilizes the difference in mobility speeds of ions under an electric field at atmospheric pressure to achieve rapid separation and detection of ions.Studies have shown that changes in humidity inside the drift tube can interfere with the detection results of ion mobility spectra, leading to false positives or missed detections.Based on the bubbling method, this research involved embedded development of humidity sensors and mass flow controllers to create a precise humidity control system centered around control circuits and bubbling units.Upon evaluating the system's performance,it was discovered that within a humidity range of 0%~100%RH,the device's humidity regulation precision is no greater than±0.6%RH.By utilizing this system the reactant ions of the ion mobility spectrometer was further analyzed,The research results are consistent with the report by Zahra Izadi's team, indicating that the developed precise humidity control system can effectively achieve accurate regulation of humidity, satisfying the Ion Mobility Spectrometer's need for precise humidity control.
