Preparation of aluminium pigment modified by fluorine-containing acrylate and its floating properties
In this study,a fluorine-containing acrylate modified aluminum pigment was prepared by two-step process.Firstly,a double-bond functionalized silica coating layer was formed on the surface of aluminum pigment by the synergic hydrolysis of acrylate silane coupling agent and ethyl orthosilicate under alkaline environment. Then a fluorine-containing coating layer was formed by in-situ polymerization to obtain a fluorine-containing acrylate modified aluminum pigment. The structure and properties of the modified aluminum pigment were characterized by FTIR,TG,XPS,contact Angle test, gloss test, acid and alkali corrosion resistance test, flotation test and other analytical methods. The results showed that compared with the unmodified aluminum pigments, the modified aluminum pigments had better floatability, covering power to water surface and acid and alkali resistance in coumarone resin and ethylene glycol butyl ether.
