The Zhuding barite deposit,Anhui is located in the NW-trending secondary fault fracture zone of the major Tan-Lu fault. The host rocks are conglomerate of the upper Cretaceous Xinzhuang Formation and granulite of Xigudui Formation of Wuhe Group. The ore bodies are lens-like and veins-like,and the main one is stable in extension, and the wall rock alterations are mainly baratization and silicification. The ore quality is good and the change in grade is relatively uniform. Based on the analysis of the geological characteristics and genesis of the deposit in this area,it is considered that the Zhuding barite deposit is mainly controlled by the NW-trending fault structure, and the multi-phase activity of the Tan-Lu fault provides good conditions for the formation and storage of the deposit, which is a low-temperature hydrothermal deposit.
