The Shimangkeng gold deposit, located in Huangcun Town,Jing County,is a new one discovered in southern Anhui in recent years.Based on analysis of the first-hand field data and relevant test results obtained from the detailed survey of the deposit, this paper briefly analyzes its mineralization process and preliminarily concludes that the gold deposit was formed in the late Yanshanian period, and it is genetically a veined medium-to low-temperature hydrothermal deposit, which has experienced high-temperature sphalerite-chalcopyrite solid solution separation,medium-to low-temperature gold and copper polymetallic mineralization and late weathering oxidation mineralization, and a concealed rock mass is possibly deep-seated in the mineral district, providing a reference for exploration in the depth of this deposit and beyond in the area.
