The strategy of rural revitalization is a major decision concerning the development in agriculture and rural areas in China in the new era,and rural tourism is an important driving force for this strategy.As an organic part of rural tourism,geoscience tourism is an emerging one with geological relics and geographical landscapes as the carrier.In the context of this strategy and considering the principle of tourism geology,geoscience tourism resources in Anhui Province are divided into four categories:scientific research type,sight-seeing type,commodity type and cultural type.The spatial distribution law of the resources in Anhui Province is quantitatively analyzed,and the significance of development and utilization of the resources to the realization of the strategic goal is comprehensively reviewed.
