Influence of Water Level Fluctuation on Water Quality of Caizi Lake
Based on the water quality of national control section of Caizi Lake and the water level monitoring data of Cheful-ing Hydrology Station, the relationship between water level and water quality (TN, TP, COD, permanganate index and oth-er major factors) of Caizi Lake was analyzed by using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Spearman and Pearson correlation coefficient method. The results show that the water level of Caizi Lake presents unimodal variation in the year, with a large fluctuation range, seasonal alternations between flood and dry, obvious hydrological rhythm, and the average water level drop of 3.79 m in the period of high and low water. There was a significant negative correlation between the water level of Caizi Lake and TP concentration (R=-0.604). When the water level of Caizi Lake is about 12 m, the water quality concentration of the lake is maintained at an inferior standard. The change of water level of Caizi Lake (especially in dry season) affects the sta-bility standard and improvement of water quality. In addition, further attention should be paid to the influence of the change of hydrological elements on water quality caused by the diversion of water from The Yangtze to Huaihe River Project.
