Research on the Production Process of Preparing Calcium Sulfate Whiskers with Desulfurized Gypsum from Chemical Plant Using Salt Solution Method
The chemical plant brings out a solid waste called desulfurized gypsum when adopting the wet desulfurization process to treat the waste gas of the chemical plant. Compared with traditional gypsum, desulfurized gypsum in chemical plants contains a large number of organic impurities, which is more difficult to use comprehensively. In this study, the pro-duction process of preparing calcium sulfate whiskers with desulfurized gypsum from chemical plant was explored through experiments. The whiskers were prepared by hydrothermal method and salt solution method, and the effect of hydrothermal conditions and different concentrations of salt solution on the product sound were explored. The results show that the whis-ker products content with national standard are not yet produced by changing the hydrothermal conditions. When preparing whiskers by the salt solution method, the effects of 5 different salt solutions were compared, and it shows that the whiskers prepared in calcium chloride with a mass fraction of 10% have the best morphology, with an aspect ratio of 20~40, which meets the requirements of the national standard and have a high conversion rate.
