Research on Carbon Emissions from Urban Sewage Treatment Plants Based on the"Water-Energy-Carbon"Correlation System
Under the background of"double carbon"strategy, effective accounting of carbon emissions from sewage treat-ment plants is of great significance for energy saving and carbon reduction. This paper constructs a new type of accounting system based on the"water-energy-carbon"correlation system, and takes a sewage plant in a town in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River as a case study to carry out carbon emission accounting. The results show that the total carbon emissions of the sewage plant under normal circumstances amounted to 208 211.97 kgCO2/d,with direct carbon emissions as the main source of emissions, and the proportion of CH4 carbon emissions in each subcarbon emission system is the high-est,amounting to 48.26%.Finally,for the accounting results, carbon reduction measures and suggestions for the wastewa-ter treatment plant are proposed,in order to provide reference for later researchers, engineers and technicians to study the same kind of problems.
