Adsorption Treatment of Phenol Wastewater by β-Cyclodextrin Carbon Material
The[3-cyclodextrin carbon materials were prepared by using[3-cyclodextrin as the raw material and phosphoric acid as the activator. The effects of single-factor conditions(activation temperature, activation time, and impregnation ra-tio)on the product properties of the prepared carbon materials were investigated. The optimal process conditions for the preparation of activated carbon by the phosphoric acid activation method were obtained,i.e.,the impregnation ratio of 1∶2,the time of 3 h,and the temperature of 500℃.The carbon material was adsorbed to the phenol solution under the optimal process conditions. The adsorption performance of β-cyclodextrin carbon materials on phenol solution under the optimal process conditions was determined, and the effects of one-factor conditions(initial concentration, adsorption time, and amount of carbon injected)on the adsorption of phenol by the carbon materials were investigated, and three optimal optimi-zation conditions for the adsorption of phenol by β-cyclodextrin carbon materials were obtained,i.e,an initial concentra-tion of 40 mg·L-1 of phenol solution,an adsorption time of 30 min,and an amount of carbon injected of 0.09 g.Phosphoric acid activation method for the process of preparing β-cyclodextrin carbon material and its adsorption performance can be a practical reference for the pretreatment of phenol wastewater to realize the recycling of water resources.
