Clan Consciousness and Cultural Exchanges:Research on Decorative Paintings of Xu's Ancestral Hall in Yixing
The architectural color painting of Xu's Ancestral Hall in Yixing is an early wooden architectural color painting with official characteristics in the Jiangnan area of the Ming Dynasty, and a typical representative of architectural color painting in the Taihu Lake basin. Through the field investigation and literature research on the color painting of Xu's Ancestral Hall, this paper expounds the reasons for the formation of the color painting of Xu's Ancestral Hall and its image characteristics, focusing on the changes in the architectural ritual system of the Ming Dynasty, the development of clan consciousness, and the exchange of color painting culture. In view of the relationship between the traditional architectural decoration art and the development of social, political and economic systems, the analysis and exploration of the spiritual value, mode of thinking and clan consciousness of social ethics space have shifted from the morphological elements and composition rules of color painting patterns in the material space to provide reference for the research of architectural color painting related issues in Jiangnan.
