Spatial Pattern Characteristics of Rural Settlements and Their Driving Factors Based on the Comparison of County Geographical Differences
The spatial characteristics, driving factors and mechanisms of rural settlements are the foundation of village distribution planning, rural spatial layout optimization, and rural revitalization. This study chooses Qianshan City, which has significant internal geographical variations,as the research area, and use spatial analysis methods such as mean nearest neighbor distance and landscape pattern as well as geodetectors to compare the spatial patterns of rural settlements and their driving factors under different geographical conditions to study their mechanisms behind. The results show that rural settlements has markedly different spatial patterns under different geographical conditions. Topographic conditions are the initial driving factors forming the pattern characteristics, with the transportation influential in mountainous areas and water systems in piedmont graded areas. Population, economy, public services, transportation interact significantly with other factors.
