Measurements of the Flavonoid Contents in Leaves of Ginkgo biloba from Different Perioda, Ages and Parts
The leaves of Ginkgo biloba have 2 growth peaks based on the flavonoid contents measurements in leaves of Ginkgo biloba from different periods, different ages, different regions of Taixing City, and the flavonoid contents reached the peak in April and the lowest point in July. In August and afterwords, the total flavonoid contents in leaves of Ginkgo biloba gradually increased with the extension of the growth period and reached the peak in October. The flavonoid contents were significantly different in leaves of Ginkgo biloba from different parts of long branches with the highest flavonoid contents in leaves from the upper parts while the flavonoid contents were not significantly different in leaves from the middle and lower parts. The flavonoid contents were significantly different in leaves of Ginkgo biloba from different parts of short and middle branches with the highest flavonoid contents in leaves from the upper parts.
