Analysis on the Spatial Pattern Features of the Nature Protected Areas in Zunyi City
There are 64 nature protected areas in Zunyi City altogether with a total area of 463 000 hm2,accounting for 15.34%of the city land area.In this paper,an analysis was made on the spatial patterns of the 64 nature protected areas in the city with methods of statistical analysis, kernel density estimation and spatial overlay analysis. The results showed that:1.The spatial distribution density re-gion of the city′s nature protected areas had features of punctiform and banded combinations.Kernel density estimation showed that the high-density distribution region was Suiyang County with a mean kernel density value of 35.83,followed by eastern Zunyi(Chizhui City and Xishui County),while northern and western Zunyi had the lowest kernel density value.2.The overlapping ratio of the nature pro-tected areas was 28.23%with 10 overlapping types. The most frequent overlapping types were the one between the nature protected ar-ea and scenic area and the overlapping between the nature protected areas. The largest-area overlapping type was the one between the nature protected area and scenic area. The study could lay a foundation for identifying present contradictions among nature protected ar-eas and promoting rational allocation of resources and efficient management of nature protected areas.
