Actualities of and Targeted Suggestions for Monitoring and Control of Epidemic Sources and Diseases of Terrestrial Wildlife in Anhui Province
The establishment of the monitoring and control system of epidemic source and diseases of terrestrial wildlife is a key link to cut off the spread and diffusion of epidemic diseases from the source.Building front posts for daily monitoring,timely recognizing abnor-malities of the epidemic sources,collecting and testing of samples and making emergency disposals to minimize the possible epidemics is an important guarantee for biodiversity conservation,maintenance of ecological balance and also social public health security.Due to the special geographical location,there are a vast number of terrestrial wildlife species in Anhui Province,which makes wildlife moni-toring and control of epidemic sources and diseases arduous and important.In this paper,an analysis was made on the actualities of and existing problems in monitoring and controlling terrestrial wildlife epidemic sources and diseases in the province,targeted strategies for further improving the related work were put forward from such aspects as strengthening professional training,stabilizing the monitoring team,increasing funding,improving monitoring means,enhancing basic research,raising the informatization level,doing a good job of internal introduction and external communication,improving the technical support system,carrying out scientific publicity and promot-ing harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
