Study on the Effects of Different Habitats on the Growth of 1-year-old Pteroceltis tatarinowii Seedlings
In order to find a suitable habitat for Pteroceltis tatarinowii, seeds of the species were sown in 3 habitats (greenhouse, shading, and open-air) to study the effects of the 3 habitats on the growth morphology and physiological indexes of the 1-year-old Pteroceltis tatarinowii seedlings by comparing the height, basal diameter, leaf number, branching number, chlorophyll content and leaf area. The results showed that the seedlings grew best in the greenhouse habitat with the height, basal diameter, leaf number, branching number, chlorophyll content and leaf area reaching 18.98 cm,3.25 mm,39,3,36.91 mg/g and 23.42 cm2 respectively, significantly higher than those of the seedlings in the shading and open-air habitats.
