In this paper,an introduction was made to the characteristics and main results of the 7th ClassⅡSurvey of forest resource in-ventory in Nanchang City.The results showed that the total amount of forest resources in Nanchang is small with uneven distribution,low-quality and irrational stand structure.Based on the results of 4 class II surveys in the past,an analysis was made on the dynamic changes of forest resources in Nanchang in the past 40 years.In view of the existing problems,targeted development suggestions were put forward from such aspects as making clear the forestry orientation,improving the guarantee system,fully implementing the forest su-pervisor system,realizing good long-term forest management,improving the greening mechanism,promoting scientific greening,speed-ing up industrial forestry development,establishing channels to make lucid waters and lush mountains a vast source of economic bene-fits,adhering to sci-tech forestry development and improving forest quality.
