佛手瓜种植是福建省尤溪县传统的特色农业,尤其是尤溪县八字桥乡种植的绿皮佛手瓜,是营养价值较为全面的蔬菜,具有较长的种植历史,与其它佛手瓜相比具有早熟、高产、稳产、种植效益高等优点,被中国绿色食品发展中心认定为“绿色食品、A级产品”,产品销往全国十几个大中城市,深受广大消费者的青睐,其在福建的中高海拔山区推广种植前景广阔。该文阐述了佛手瓜植物学性状,详细介绍了高产栽培技术与措施。
It is an traditional farming industry to plant chayote in Youxi County,Fujian Province. The chayote with green skin,planted by caret-shaped bridge village in Youxi County,has high nutritional value and a long history of cultivation. Comparing with other chayotes,it has advantages of early maturity,high yield and high plant effiency,recognized as“the organic foods,the A level product”by the China Organic Foods Development Center. In the favor of consumer,the product is sold to several big or media-sized cities. The prospects to devel-op chayote is broad at high elevation mountainous area in Fujian Province. This paper described the botanical characters and cultivation technical of chayote.
