Seven varieties of Carya illinoinensis were used to explore the selection of suitable varieties,improvement of pollinating tree configuration,renewal of low-yielding forest varieties and optimization of variety combination.The results showed that Poni variety was good in drought resistance and fruit yield and quality,and was suitable for planting in northern Anhui;the planting method of"Poni + Wichita + YLC29"combination solved the pollination of the main varieties,so as to reduce the tree planting and expand the pollen propagation radius and increase the pollination rate.Through the research on the variety improvement and combination optimization technology of the pecan in northern Anhui,it provided scientific reference for the scientific management of the woodland,and promoted the high quality and sustainable development of the industry in this region.
