Application of molecular docking in the Fundamentals of Agropharmacy
The foundation of agricultural pharmacy involves multiple disciplines and is closely integrated with applications. It was one of the core courses of plant protection and animal and plant quarantine. Molecular docking technology had played an important role in the discovery and mechanism of action of new pesticides due to its high efficiency, low cost, and ability to provide theoretical guidance for drug design. This article analyzed the molecular docking technology and its application effect in the teaching of agricultural pharmacy fundamentals . Introducing molecular docking technology into basic teaching of agricultural pharmacy and guiding students to conduct molecular docking experiments could help them understand the reasons for the differences in affinity and selectivity between pesticides and target molecules, understand the interaction between pesticides and target molecules, understand the mechanism of pesticide resistance, and understand the metabolic behavior of pesticides in organisms.It could also help students cultivate computer skills, stimulate innovative thinking, strengthen teamwork ability, and thus improved teaching effectiveness and quality.The introduction of molecular docking technology could enrich the curriculum system of pesticide discipline, cultivate students, innovative awareness and scientific literacy, and enable them to better adapt to the needs of current agricultural development.
