Comparative analysis of wild forest germplasm resources in Longyan Tingjiang River and Beixi Basin of Jiulongjiang River
Based on the survey of forest germplasm resources in Longyan City,Fujian Province, the comparative analysis was conducted on the wild forest germplasm resources in Tingjiang River and Beixi Basin of Jiulongjiang River. The study showed that the region boasts rich and diverse wild forest germplasm resources, with a distinct forest vertical layer. There were 1 463 species in 114 families and 453 genera, accounting for 97.3%of forest germplasm resources in Longyan City.Among these,24 national key protection species from 13 families and 20 genera were identified. The hydrothermal conditions in the Beixi Basin of Jiulongjiang River were found to be slightly higher than those in Tingjiang River, leading to a more abundant distribution of forest germplasm resources in the south subtropical region.Despite some differences, there was a significant overlap in tree species, with 72.9%being the same in both regions. These findings underscore the ecological value of the region in terms of biodiversity, forest ecological protection and forestry carbon sink.To ensure the safe preservation and sustainable development of forest tree germplasm resources,it is imperative to implement in-situ protection and ex-situ protection, collect and preserve forest germplasm resources, establish national storage forests and create carbon sink forests.
