Effects of different leaf moistening and re-drying intensities on the quality of upper tobacco leaves
Took the upper tobacco leaves of Yunyan 87 as the research object, the effects of different moistening and re-drying intensities on the quality of upper tobacco leaves were studied with the evaluation indexes of color depth, chroma, uniformity, oil content, conventional chemical composition and sensory quality. The results showed that with the increase of leaf moistening intensity, the color of tobacco leaves gradually deepened, the chroma tended to be dark orange, the uniformity gradually deteriorated, and the oil content increased after leaf moistening. After re-drying,the color became lighter, the chroma changed to lemon yellow, the uniformity increased, and the oil content decreased. The uniformity and oil content of higher temperature re-drying were better than those of low temperature re-drying.The contents of nicotine and total sugar increased gradually with the increase of leaf moistening strength, and decreased gradually after re-drying.With the increase of leaf moistening strength, the sensory quality after leaf moistening gradually decreased.Under low moisture leaf moistening, the sensory quality increased with the increase of re-drying temperature, and the sensory quality decreased with the increase of re-drying temperature under high-moisture leaf moistening. On the whole,low-moisture moistening leaves(W15%)and higher temperature re-drying(T 70 ℃)were more conducive to the quality of upper tobacco leaves.
