Spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of a rural revitalization demonstration villages in southwest China
Villages are the most common spatial representation of rural areas and the most basic organizational unit of county-level rural revitalization planning. This study aims to provide a reference for the construction of rural revitalization model villages by analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of rural revitalization model villages. This study explored the spatial distribution and influencing factors of 1947 rural revitalization demonstration villages in a certain area of southwest China through nearest neighbor index, geographic concentration index,Gini coefficient, kernel density analysis, geographic detector, and geographic connectivity rate. The results showed that the spatial distribution type of the demonstration villages for rural revitalization in the area was agglomeration, and it shows an unbalanced agglomeration within the city and state, with an overall"dense in the east and sparse in the west",and a distribution pattern of"one belt and four points"was formed in the eastern part of the area.Natural environment,population,socio-economic,transportation,and resource endowmentsl had an impact on the distribution of rural revitalization demonstration villages. After factor detection analysis,it was found that altitude and slope had a significant impact on the spatial distribution of rural revitalization demonstration villages, while transportation conditions, resource endowments, and river systems had a relatively small impact on the spatial distribution of rural revitalization demonstration villages
