Effects of different fertilization formulas on the growth of Torreya grandis
The Torreya grandis is an evergreen coniferous tree belonging to the family Taxaceae. It is a multifunctional and precious tree species that is used for timber, medicine, fruit, oil, and ornamental purposes. Its application value is significant. In order to explore the optimal fertilization ratio for Torreya grandis seedlings, this study used urea, calcium superphosphate, and potassium chloride as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, and conducted experiments on 2-year-old Torreya grandis seedlings using a three factor and three-level orthogonal experimental design. The results showed that the optimal formula for plant height, ground diameter, total root length, average root diameter, number of root tips, soluble sugar content and soluble protein content in leaves was N2P3K3. The optimal formula for root surface area and root volume was N2P1K3. The optimal formula for aboveground dry weight, total biomass, chlorophyll a content, total chlorophyll content, and carotenoid content was N2P2K3,The optimal formula for underground dry weight and chlorophyll b content was N2P2K1. This study conducted orthogonal and variance analysis on the growth of Torreya grandis based on different fertilization treatments, and selected the appropriate nitrogen phosphorus potassium ratio for the growth of Torreya grandis seedlings, providing reference for fertilization in Torreya grandis cultivation.
