The occurrence characteristics and control strategies of corn diseases and pests
With the continuous development of science and technology, and the continuous improvement of plant⁃ing techniques, the yield of corn has rapidly increased. However, pests and diseases can influence the yield and quality of corn. The main pests and diseases of corn and their occurrence characteristics were analyzed. The study found that pests included underground pests, Pyrausta nubilalis, Spodoptera frugiperda, and aphids, and diseases mainly included ear rot, rough dwarf disease, leaf spot disease, and rust. The prevention and control strategies for the main pests and diseases were explored to fully understand the occurrence characteristics of corn pests and diseases, take effective measures for prevention and control, increase corn yield, ensure the quality of corn, and improve the comprehensive benefits of agricul⁃tural production.
