Planting techniques under the forest of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua
In order to develop understory planting of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua and alleviate the pressure on the Polygonatum industry,the cultivation techniques of understory planting of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua were analyzed based on the production practice of intercropping Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua under the forests.The key points for plant-ing Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua under the forests included breeding high-quality seeds,selecting suitable cultivation soil and environment,managing plant growth reasonably,preventing and controlling pests and diseases,and timely har-vesting.The field management of planting of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua under the forests included intercropping and weeding,rational fertilization,regular watering,and thinning flowers and fruits.The research results provided a refer-ence for exploring understory planting techniques of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua,improving the yield and economic benefits of artificial cultivation of Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua.
