Effects of biochar on the biochemical characteristics of continuous cropping cucumber seedling roots
To clarify the effects of biochar on the biochemical characteristics of the root system of cucumber seedlings, five biochar cultivation cucumber treatments(0,10,20,60,and 80 g/kg)were set up in the experiment, biochemical indexes such as soluble sugar, sucrose, reducing sugar, soluble protein, nitrate nitrogen, proline content and amino acid content of cucumber seedlings were determined. The results showed that adding biochar to the substrate could increase the content of soluble sugars, sucrose, reducing sugar, soluble proteins, nitrate nitrogen, proline, and amino acid content of the roots of cucumber seedlings.Among them, the application effect is best when the dosage of biochar is 60 g/kg(B3).At 25 days after cucumber emergence, soluble sugar content, soluble protein content, nitrate nitrogen, sucrose, reducing sugar, proline, and amino acid in the root system of cucumber seedlings increased by 59.49%,62.50%,89.65%,95.95%,5.91%,86.21%,and 122.30%,respectively,compared with CK.
