Practical analysis of creating succulent plant landscape
Based on the protection of succulent plant germplasm and the dissemination of plant science knowledge to the public,88 species of succulent plants from 27 genera in 9 families were used,and media such as fiberglass,living objects,cultural bricks,and garden dead wood were used to create plant landscapes in four scenes:succulent waterfalls,environmentally friendly balconies,nocturnal trails,and withered tree lights.It flexibly displays the rich diversity of suc-culent plant forms and habits,as well as the close relationship between plants and life,plants and culture.The planting and maintenance techniques of succulent plant was summarized,including the selection of permeable and breathable substrates,appropriate insulation in winter,ventilation and cooling in summer,and timely prevention and control of pests and diseases.The purpose was to provide a reference for the application of succulent plants in home gardening and garden landscapes,as well as the sustainable development of the cities where botanical gardens serve.
