Influence of dominant plants on the migration of Mn in electrolytic manganese residue
The Mn content in plant, substrate, residue and osmotic water were determined under the establishment conditions of two plants(Miscanthus floridulus and Erigeron annuus)in a electrolytic manganese residue storage site, and the bioaccumulation coefficient was calculated to investigate the effect of plant colonization on Mn migration in electrolytic manganese residue. The results showed that the content of Mn in M.floridulus was 37.62 mg/kg and E.annuus was 98.30 mg/kg.The content of available Mn in electrolytic manganese residue decreased by 48.25%after the establishment of M.floridulus, and the content of available Mn in electrolytic manganese residue decreased by 37.19%after the establishment of E.annuus.In addition, compared with the control, the Mn content in the osmotic water decreased by 65.64%-80.66%with the establishment of M.floridulus, and 12.87%-19.48%with the growth of E.annuus.In conclusion, the establishment of the two plants can reduce the Mn migration from the electrolytic manganese residue to water body, and the resistance control effect of M.floridulus is better than that of E.annuus, which has the potential of treating the Mn pollution in the electrolytic manganese residue storage site.
