Correlation analysis of selenium content in soil and tea in tea garden
Tea leaves and soil samples were collected from select tea farms in Southern Anhui Province, the soil's organic content,pH,nitrogen, available phosphorus, exchangeable potassium, and total selenium,as well as the selenium content in the tea were tested, respectively. How soil selenium relates to tea selenium, and the effect of organic matter,pH,and nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium on this relationship(expressed by selenium conversion coefficient)were investigated. The results showed that the average selenium content in the soil of the tested tea garden was higher(0.404 mg/kg),which belonged to Se-rich soil, and the selenium content in tea reached the standard of Se-rich tea.Selenium content in tea was mainly affected by total selenium content in soil, and was positively correlated with total selenium content in soil, with correlation coefficient R2=0.706 6(n=9).Soil organic matter,pH and conventional nutrients had certain effects on the correlation. In general, the correlation between soil total selenium content and tea selenium content showed the same trend with the changes of soil organic matter content,pH and total nitrogen content, but the change with the content of available phosphorus and available potassium was not obvious. The study aim to back high-quality selenium-rich tea production in local tea areas with science and make use of local selenium resources.
