Effects of different sowing dates and densities on characteristics and yield of Wandou 40
Using Wandou 40 as material, the growth process, agronomic characters, economic characters and yield of Wandou 40 were compared under 6 sowing dates and 5 planting densities of 225 000 plants/hm2,and the suitable sowing dates and density conditions were screened. The results showed that in terms of fertility process, with the delay of sowing date, the emergence, flowering, and maturity of the plant were delayed, the whole growth period was shortened, and the density had no obvious effect on the growth process.Agronomic characters, with the delay of sowing date, the plant height and number of main stem segment decreased gradually, and the effective branch and bottom pod height increased first and then decreased;with the increase of density, plant height and effective branch number increased first and then decreased, the number of main node stem segment decreased gradually, and the height of bottom pod increased gradually.Economic characters, with the delay of sowing date, the effective pod number, seed number per plant, seed weight per plant and hundred-grain weight increased first and then decreased;with the increase of density, the effective pod number and hundred-grain weight first increased and then decreased, and the seed number and seed weight per plant gradually decreased.Yield aspect, with the increase of sowing date or density, the yield increased first and then decreased, and the highest yield was 3 423.6 kg/hm2 on June 26 when the sowing density was 255 000 plants/hm2.According to the indexes of growth process, agronomic characters, economic characters and yield, the suitable sowing date of Wandou 40 was from June 19 to 26,and the suitable planting density was 240 000-255 000 plants/hm2.
