Effects of quick dipping with different concentrations of naphthalene acetic acid on rooting of Euonymus fortunei cuttings
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of naphthalene acetic acid solution with different concentrations(5 s,500,1 500,and 2 000 mg/L)on rooting rate, average root length and average root weight of Euonymus fortunei cuttings with clear water as control(CK).The results showed that in terms of rooting rate, the rooting rate of the cuttings treated with 2 000 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid was 100%;root length aspect, the average root length of the cuttings treated with 2 000 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid was the longest(1.2 cm),followed by the average root length of CK(1.1 cm);root weight aspect, the number of roots of cuttings immediately dipped in 2 000 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid was 156,and the average root weight was 8.In conclusion, rapid dipping of 2 000 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid can promote the rooting of cuttings in this forest tree. The research results provide references for for the large-scale breeding of Euonymus fortunei in practical production.
