As an important component in terrestrial ecosystem,soil organism have significant effect on the function of terrestrial ecosystem.So far,the main food source of soil organism is plant litter or root,conclusions from different research are inconsistent.So aiming at research progress on soil organism food sources both home and aboard,the main food source of soil organism was explored,and some suggestions for the further study of soil animal food sources were put forward.
