Using video observation method,mathematical statistics method and literature method,we analyzed the top eight routines of the 13th National Dragon and Lion Dance Championship Northern Lion self-selection routine.The results showed that:the Northern Lion self-selection was mainly participated by university teams;the average length of the routine was moderate;the theme was not prominent enough and the artistic sense needed to be strengthened;the accompaniment was mainly national music;the route design of the routine content was reasonable;most teams scored full marks for difficulty,and the most frequently used action categories were modeling action and lion guide action;the most frequent time period for difficulty action was 0-3 minutes;a few teams made more obvious mistakes in the difficulty action.
