The Application of comparative teaching method under the mode of "reading-thinking-research-practice" in the teaching of obstetrics and gynecology of integrated traditional chinese and western medicine
Objective:To explore the application effect of the four-dimensional comparative teaching method of "reading-thinking- research-practice" in the course of obstetrics and gynecology of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine of undergraduate students.Methods:Two classes of 120 undergraduate students of Chinese and Western medicine clinical medicine in the class of 2019 at a university of traditional Chinese medicine were selected.The class with traditional teaching mode (59 students) is the control group, and the class with comparative teaching method under the four-dimensional mode of "reading-thinking-research-practice" (61 students) is the experimental group. The evaluation of the teaching effectiveness was done comprehensively by combining the results of the final theoretical examination and the questionnaire survey.Result:The students who applied the four-dimensional comparative teaching method of "reading-thinking-research-practice" had better final comprehensive scores than those who used conventional teaching (P<0.05). The questionnaire reveals that the teaching approach plays a promoting role in enhancing students' learning motivation, clinical thinking of integrated Chinese and Western medicine, clinical diagnosis and treatment skills, and academic research exploration. Conclusion:The comparative teaching method following the mode of "reading-thinking-research-practice" can improve the teaching effect of obstetrics and gynecology of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
