Investigation and analysis on the topic selection of innovation and entrepreneurship projects for college students majoring in ophthalmology and optometry in the context of medical and industrial intersection
Objective:To explore the role of "medical industry intersection" in promoting the implementation of "double innovation" programs for college students.Methods:A survey questionnaire was designed and distributed in the form of a questionnaire star to 151 students in the ophthalmology and optometry major of Anhui Medical University in five grades from 2019 to 2023. The questionnaire was conducted to investigate the selection and approval of "innovation and entrepreneurship" projects that students participated in and implemented between 2019 and 2023, as well as their understanding of the related fields of "medical engineering intersection". Results: Out of 151 students who participated in the questionnaire survey, only 18.54% of students had hosted or participated in the "entrepreneurship and innovation" project for college students; only 9.27% of students had hosted or participated in projects that involve "medical and industrial".54.3% of students believe that "medical engineering intersection" is conducive to the selection of innovative topics for students majoring in ophthalmology and optometry. there is a correlation between the number of projects involving "medical-industrial intersection" and students' understanding of "medical-industrial intersection".Conclusion: The popularity of the "double innovation" program for ophthalmology and optometry students is low, and the participation of students is not high; it is necessary to integrate the "medical industry intersection" into the "double innovation" education system for ophthalmology and optometry students.
